Chapter 15: Director of Personnel

15.1 General. The Director of Personnel is redelegated the authority described in the following Departmental Manual chapters and/or paragraphs. Pertinent limitations prescribed in the following delegations apply to this redelegation.

A. 205 DM 8.1 - Personnel Management Authority, including:

(1) Executive Personnel Authority as described in 205 DM 8.2G(2).

(2) Master Delegation Agreement Authority as described in 205 DM 8.2J except for J(2).

B. 205 DM 5.4 - Long Distance Telephone Calls.

C. 205 DM 6.2 - Authority to Authorize Employees to Certify or Approve their Own Time and Attendance Reports.

D. 205 DM 15.3 - Reimbursement for Expenses Incurred in the Use of Taxicabs within Designated Post of Duty.

15.2 Limitations.

A. Although authority to exercise personnel management authority for the internal management of the Office of Personnel is delegated to and exercised by the Chief, Division of Personnel Services, Director of Management Services (112 DM 14), the Director of Personnel may take appropriate action in those cases which are reserved to the Director of Personnel in Departmental personnel management directives.

B. The authority of 212 DM 15.1A(1) may not be redelegated.
