Notice from Interagency Working Group, Contracts & Procurement, Section Chair, Richard C. Walters:
Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP)
2007 Federal Procurement ADR Award
The awards program, initiated in conjunction with will the Federal Interagency Working Group's Contract and Procurement Section, has proven very successful over the past number of years. The awards are a means of stimulating the use of ADR techniques for resolving issues in controversy relating to federal procurement (something we in the federal government is charges with doing under the Administrative Dispute Resolution Act of 1996), and the program seeks to recognize both public and private sector organizations for their contributions in fostering the creative and effective use of ADR. Last year's winners were USDOJ's Bureau of Prisons and Hensel Phelps.
This year, the OFPP awards program is being expanded to include the innovative use of ADR to resolve disputes relating to grant administration (as well as contract and procurement related disputes)
Please disseminate this notice throughout your organization and encourage the submission of nominations for deserving public and private entities. Your help in this effort is critical.
The deadline is April 4, 2008
