Import Administration of Department of Commerce This site provides an overview of all programs within Import Administration. U.S. International Trade Commission The U.S. International Trade Commission is an independent, nonpartisan, quasi-judicial federal agency that provides trade expertise to both the legislative and executive branches of government, determines the impact of imports on U.S. industries, and directs actions against certain unfair trade practices, such as patent, trademark, and copyright infringement. The U.S. ITC assesses injury to U.S. industries from dumped merchandise. U.S. Department of Commerce/Trade Development This site presents an overview of the industry specializations within Trade Development. Petitioners sometime find it helpful to seek the assistance of industry specialists when preparing a AD or CVD petitions. U.S. Department of Commerce/Market Access and Compliance This site describes the assistance that MAC can provide to obtain market access for American companies and to achieve full compliance by foreign nations with trade agreements they sign with the U.S. The specialists in MAC can assist companies who have trade issues not related to dumping or CVD. Reserve Bank of India Statistics This site provides Indian financial data which can be used to calculate values for use in AD cases involving non-market economy countries. Includes sector-specific information. U.S. International Trade Commission/Dataweb This site is an Internet tool that is available to the general public. The ITC Dataweb provides import and export data by Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) numbers for the United States. The Department and ITC use this data in their analyses when evaluating petitions. There is no charge for registration and use. Wage Rates This site provides a list of expected wage rates per hour in U.S. dollars for non-market economies. The Department uses these rates as the official source of wage rates in its dumping and CVD analyses for non-market economies. Wage rates are from the Yearbook of Labour Statistics and updated periodically. Exchange Rates This site provides provides two types of official daily exchange rates for each country. For purposes of antidumping" ("AD") investigations, the program classifies the daily rates as "normal," "fluctuating," or "sustained movement." The actual daily exchange rates used in the program were acquired either from the Federal Reserve Statistical Release H.10 on the web, or from Dow Jones Reuters Business Interactive LLC (trading as Factiva) (a fee-based service). Short-Term Borrowing Rates This policy bulletin describes the special methodology the Department applies when credit expenses must be imputed in situations where the respondent has no short-term borrowings in the currency in which the sales are denominated. |
