PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Workforce Coalition: Education Task Force

[Educators K-Higher Education]
[Available: Nationally]

NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., initiated the integrated stakeholder approach in 2004 to develop a model for culture change that would result in a skilled, capable workforce. In 2006, Marshall transitioned leadership for the Integrated Stakeholder Coalition for Workforce Development to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Workforce Coalition. The Marshall Academic Affairs Office now leads the Education Task Force subcommittee of the Workforce Coalition to focus on K-12 education initiatives identified by the coalition. The Task Force will use a systems approach to engage community stakeholders in facilitating partnerships to build skills needed for the workforce.
