MISSION
GOTD is the Agency focal point for NetOps requirements, standards, policies, and processes. GOTD facilitates enterprise-wide implementation and operations of Net-Centric solutions across the Global Information Grid for the Nation's warfighters, and all those who support them.
VISION
GOTD ensures secure, interoperable and reliable Net-Centric solutions are available across the GIG, in support of the full spectrum of military requirements and operations.
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR PRIORITIES
- First line customer support to Combatant Commanders (COCOMs) - Linking Delivery of agency Net-Centric Solutions to COCOM priorities/requirements. Ensure critical DISA programs/systems/applications/services' plans are properly tailored and synchronized to the combatant command and field office commands' needs.
- Network Operations (NetOps) Readiness Review Process - NetOps integrated into DISA technologies. Team with partner directorates to synchronize agency efforts to plan, prepare, implement, support and sustain DISA-developed products that satisfy Global Information Grid Operations (GIG OPS)/NetOps requirements. The GIG OPS Technical Director is the Chair of the agency's NetOps Readiness Review Board, which has the responsibility to assess agency efforts to ensure NetOps criteria are achieved with critical DISA programs, systems, applications and services.
- Knowledge management support to the field - Advocate for field office commands. Lead GIG OPS efforts to improve information sharing across the directorate. The GIG OPS technical director ensures GIG OPS divisions and field office commands are actively engaged in information sharing venues and the development of communications - processes to support effective knowledge management for the directorate.
