Download an NRCS State Grazing and Spatial
Analysis Tool (GSAT) List—an Agency Working List
NRCS personnel and cooperators can download an NRCS State
GSAT List which includes Symbol, Scientific Name with Authors,
and preferred State Common Name. States may also require
for GSAT use the 'Symbols for Unknown Plants' that can be downloaded
separately from the PLANTS Home Page. Fields in the GSAT text
file are delimited by commas and enclosed in double quotes.
You can import this file into many databases or spreadsheets. For example, first save the .txt file, then open in Microsoft Excel by specifying "Text Files" in the file type scroll box, and import by specifying "Comma" as the delimiter. Or use the file directly in Excel: copy it from the screen, paste it into a new worksheet, and select "Text to Columns..." from the Data menu. To begin the download,

below. If your state is not green, your GSAT List has not been
created. Please contact your State
PLANTS Coordinator regarding its status.
