Safety
Southwestern is committed to protecting the public, its workers, threatened and endangered species, and the environment in general. In 2005, the American Public Power Association recognized Southwestern in its national safety record competition, citing a Recordable Accident Frequency Rate (RAFR) of only 1.3 recordable injuries for every 200,000 hours worked. And FY 2006 marked the fourteenth consecutive year, over 4.3 million man-hours worked, without any electrical-related recordable accidents.
