LDRD Day

Sandia's Laboratory Directed Research and Development Program celebrated its second LDRD Day on September 19, 2007, featuring six oral presentations and thirty nine posters of successful projects that ended in FY 2007. These projects are evidence of both the breadth and depth of LDRD-funded scientific ingenuity, as well as of the significant promise that these projects hold for advancing Sandia's national security mission. VP and CTO Rick Stulen presented Awards for Excellence in R&D to six principal investigators, nominated from projects that ended in FY 2005, 2006 or 2007. The afternoon poster session provided attendees with the opportunity to communicate and explore new, cross-disciplinary collaborations.
