The Technology and Products Office serves as the supporting division for the Office of Education. NASA is committed to distributing educational information through instructional and outreach products. Additionally, technology plays an important role in providing a delivery mechanism to reach the next generation of explorers to inspire, inform, and involve them in NASA research activities and to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

This office coordinates a number of projects and programs to transfer NASA research and data from missions, by

  • Delivering instructional and engaging content through product development utilizing print, multimedia and web formats;
  • Developing new technologies that can provide immersive, innovative and collaborative environments and interactions for students and educators to understand important scientific concepts;
  • Conducting research on the use of technology to be effective on student learning and teaching in informal and formal settings.

The Technology and Products Office also identifies projects that will meet the President's Management Agenda of providing citizen-centric services related to NASA Education efforts. NASA Education strives to ensure that technology novices and disabled users can access NASA education and research information to enable them to participate in STEM activities.
