Not just farmers and ranchers benefit from Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)' expertise, people in suburban and urban areas do, too. We work with homeowners, business people, and local governments to prevent soil erosion, create and preserve green spaces, keep water clean and plentiful, and reduce the impacts of floods. And when communities and individuals need to meet State and local requirements to manage and improve natural resources, we have the knowledge and experience to help them as well. The PLANTS Web Site provides you with basic information about all of the plants found in the U.S., plus access to other sources of information on these species. Native plant enthusiasts can learn more about the special plants in their area and laws and regulations that affect them. Abundant general plant information can be found in PLANTS Links and a Gallery of images can be viewed and downloaded.
