Contributing Data and Information to the NPDC

You, our users, can contribute data, information, and suggestions to improve what you see here at the NPDC and PLANTS by:

• Submitting Images to the Image Gallery. The images in PLANTS are free for scientific and educational uses provided that users properly credit the photographer, institution, and The PLANTS Database. If you contribute your images, you will be properly credited at the PLANTS Web site. The link above includes all the information you need to submit your best images.
• Submitting Plant Occurrences to PLANTS Distribution module. The overall goal of the Distribution Update module is to improve the plant species distribution information in the PLANTS database. A particular goal is to speed input and subsequent dissemination of distributional information about weeds, especially those that are either spreading rapidly and/or are poorly known.  You can directly submit information about plants at the link above. There is also information about the type and quality of information we need.
• Submitting Plant Fact Sheets and Plant Guides to PLANTS. If you are knowledgeable about a particular species and are interested in proposing to develop a Fact Sheet or Plant Guide for PLANTS, please consult the link above to review the guidelines and templates.
• Submitting your comments and suggestions for the improvement of this NPDC site and PLANTS.
