CERTIFICATION TYPE

A CED is a "Certified NOAA ENC® Distributor" who is permitted to download NOAA ENC®s, perform exact copying, and redistribute those copies of NOAA ENC®s.

A CEVAD is a "Certified NOAA ENC Value Added Distributor" who is permitted to reformat official NOAA ENC®s into a System Electronic Navigational Chart (SENC) using type-approved software, and may distribute the SENC.
