Alaska Legal Services (ALSC)
• Offices in seven communities: Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel, Juneau, Dillingham, Ketchikan, and Kotzebue.
• All civil cases with priorities in Family Law, Housing, Consumer Issues
• Legal clinics in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Palmer, and Juneau in Bankruptcy, Landlord/Tenant, Wills/Trusts, and Family Law clinics held in partnership with the Family Law Self-Help Center of the Alaska Court System.
• Quarterly legal clinics in Workplace Issues/Fair Housing in partnership with the Municipality of Anchorage’s Equal Rights Commission at Mountain View Community Center.
• Spanish language legal hotline: last Monday of each month from 5-7 pm with volunteer attorney and/or translator if needed: 1-866-377-4856. www.alsc-law.org
Alaska Native Justice Center (ANJC)
• Provide advocacy services to Alaska Natives involved in the justice system.
• Only civil cases.
• Offer legal clinics and legal advocate trainings in rural Alaska. www.anjc.org
Alaska Network on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault (ANDVSA)
• Serve 19 member programs throughout Alaska.
• Program referrals must come through a member program. For example, AWAIC is Anchorage’s member program.
• Legal Information & Referral Hotline- 2x per month from 5-7 pm @ 1-888-988-3725.
• Legal advocates available at each member program to work with both client and pro bono attorney. www.andvsa.org
Alaska Pro Bono Program (APBP)
• All civil cases with priorities in Prisoners’ Rights, Class Action, and Non-profit assistance.
• No physical location for office; referrals should be made to phone and/or website.
• Legal clinic at Bean’s Café: third Monday of each month from 1:30-3:30pm. www.alaskaprobono.org
Disability Law Center (DLC)
• Based in Anchorage with satellite offices in Fairbanks and Juneau.
• Handles cases—with the exception of family law—connected to a person’s disability. Common cases include SSI, Housing, and Education.
• Local and community legal clinics statewide with no set schedule.
