Public Information Requests
Open Records Request
The Texas Public Information Act, Chapter 552, Texas Government Code (available in its entirety at Attorney General of Texas' website) establishes requirements for governmental bodies to respond to written request for access and/or reproductions of public information. The Town may be able to answer your requests without a formal written submission as there are numerous documents already available to the public on the Town's website; feel free to call us if you have any questions.

You may be asked to make your request in writing if you ask for access and/or reproduction of records that:
  • Are voluminous
  • Include confidential information; which would be then reviewed by the Town attorney with the possibility of obtaining the Texas Attorney Generals opinion as to the amount of confidential information, if any, can be released
  • Require clarification so that the Town may accurately respond

How to Submit a Request
Requests may be submitted online by filling out and submitting and electronic Public Information Request Form or  in person at the Town Secretary's Office at 2121 Cross Timbers Road during regular office hours.  Our phone number is 972-874-6071.
