Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love Coming to Dallas in May 2015

Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love go way back. All the way back, in fact, to that time that LDR did her cover of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" and Love tweeted, "You know the song is about my Vagina, right?" Well, apparently such are the things that lasting friendships are made of, for Del Rey and Love have not only gone on to become good friends but they're now also going on tour together. Just this morning LiveNation announced that the pair will be hitting Dallas on May 9, 2015 for a visit to Gexa Energy Pavilion.

You have to hand this much to Del Rey: She never seems to pay much mind to the haters. And there are certainly plenty of them. But the Cobain family seems to be watching out for her, at any rate. (Even Frances Bean got in on the fun by chiding Del Rey that dying young isn't cool.) Just the other night, in fact, Love tweeted her excitement about the then-unannounced tour:

— Courtney Love Cobain (@Courtney) November 29, 2014Dallas is actually pretty lucky to be included: While the announcement is part of Del Rey's larger 2015 tour supporting last summer's No. 1 album Ultraviolence, Love will only be joining her for eight dates, and Dallas is one of them. Needless to say, it should be an interesting experience.
