We usually chronicle the must-eat events every weekend, but there are so many fun things happening in St. Louis, we've decided to take on the weekday grind. Sometimes it helps us get through the day knowing we have a fabulous dinner or wine tasting to go to that evening. Continue on for our food-related recommendations, and feel free to give us any suggestions in the comments.

Monday (Nov. 10):

St. Louis Veterans Day Gala @ Four Seasons Hotel

Celebrate Veterans Day in style while raising money. There will be a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner and a formal program. Military attendees should wear dinner dress; a tuxedo or suit and tie for men and an evening gown or cocktail dress for women. Proceeds benefit Soliders Memorial, St. Louis Honor Flight and the CG Enlisted Memorial. From 5:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person.

Tuesday (Nov. 11):

Chocolate Therapy @ Missouri Botanical Garden

Yes, chocolate is therapy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Learn about the health benefits, why you shouldn't feel guilty and even chocolate meditation. You'll sample chocolate with wine pairings; chefs will serve sample-sized portions of their recipes. From 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $37 each.

Wednesday (Nov. 12):

Women, Wine and Wisdom: Discovering How to Uncork Your Potential @ Cooper's Hawk Winery

Hosted by Pam Weiss and Jennifer Gauvain of Pam Weiss Coaching, this will be "an evening dedicated to like-minded women who want to connect and converse in a truly meaningful way." Over wine, appetizers and chocolate, you'll discuss relationships, goals, careers and how to get the most out of life. Eats start at 6 p.m. and conversation lasts until 9 p.m. Tickets are $85 per person.

Prix Fixe Dinner @ Tony's Restaurant

The legendary restaurant is offering two prix-fixe dinners from chef Vince Bommarito, one in November and one in December. Tonight's menu features fresh seared jumbo scallop with leek and celery root, with a main course of lamb shank ragu and gnocchi, followed by an almond tort with salted-caramel ice cream topped with homemade caramel sauce. You can also get wine pairings at an additional cost. Dinner is $50 per person, not including tax or gratuity. Call 314-231-7007 for reservations.

Feast of Nations @ St. Louis Restaurants

From the same people who brought you the Festival of Nations comes the Feast of Nations. The second annual dine-out event features international restaurants that have donated to the International Institute's programs for immigrants and refugees in St. Louis. Stop by Aya Sofia, Baida Moroccan Restaurant, Cleveland-Heath, HandleBar, House of India, Mandarin House, Mango Peruvian Cuisine, Rooster South Grand, Sameem Afghan Restaurant, the Kitchen Sink, the Vine and Yemanja Brasil Restaurante to show your support. From 6 to 8 p.m.

Urban Chestnut Beer Tasting @ Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar

Mikka from Urban Chestnut will be heading to St. Charles to guide you through its beers. You'll sample UCBC's Zwickel, Winged Nut, STLIPA, Ku'Damm, Half Crown and Schnickelfritz along with beer cheese soup and pretzel bites. There will also be a beer stein giveaway. Thursday (Nov. 13):

Holiday Punches and Cocktails with Matt and Beth Sorrell @ Local Harvest Grocery

Matt and Beth will teach you how to make fun cocktails and punches using local produce, spirits and liqueurs. Local Harvest will provide light bites to go with the drinks. Don't worry, there will be a warm one to keep the November cold out! From 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person; register here.
