"This is a victory for the citizens of the city of Denton. For our families, for our health, for our homes, and for our future."

"We know the oil and gas industry is going to try to use its paid flunkies to overturn the ban in the state legislature. To them I say, if you vote to overturn this ban, never again say you’re against big government."

Great job by our poll workers: "He says he usually votes Republican, while Jeanette says she often votes Democrat. Still, the two are in agreement about this issue." They are voting FOR the ban!

To those who support our efforts, thank you!
All the information you need for voting. Volunteer meeting Monday night. Vote FOR the fracking ban Tuesday. Then head to Dan's Silverleaf Tuesday night for an election watch party.
On election night, we will not be having a formal FFD watch party but we understand that Dan's Silverleaf on Industrial has TVs and is having a party! As you know, they have been very supportive of our efforts. See you there.

Don't forget that we are meeting Monday night, November 3rd at 6PM at the Greenhouse, another strong supporter.
It was so gratifying and inspiring to see scores of our volunteers working outside the polls during early voting. We educated a lot of voters and influenced quite a few to vote for the ordinance to prohibit hydraulic fracking within the city limits of Denton.

Thank you all for the work you have done and are continuing to do!

Figures from a trusted source suggest that early voting was about 14% higher than in the 2010 election.
New study out today. "Unsafe benzene levels ranged from 35 times to more than 777,000 times normal levels...the worst site near a Wyoming gas well, the benzene level for five minutes was equivalent to what an average Los Angeles resident is exposed to two years...The study found unsafe concentrations of formaldehyde at distances as great as 2,591 feet and of benzene up to 885 feet."
If you live in the city of Denton and have not voted, do it today before 7PM. You can vote at ANY polling place.

But on election day, the weather forecast is for storms and cold temperatures, and you can vote ONLY in your precinct.
This is who is advising those bankrolling the opposition to Frack Free Denton:
"Think of this as an endless war...And you have to budget for it...You can either win ugly or lose pretty.”
What a great day at the polls.
David vs Goliath as seen by the signs
Denton is shining bright and using our home rule authority to make our homes a safer and healthier place to live.

Bobby Jones, co-chair of Denton Taxpayers for a Strong Economy and an avid pro-fracker, says "I guess I don't see where it falls on the oil companies," said Jones, "They haven't done anything wrong." "It shouldn't be any mineral owners faul...t that they bought a home and they didn't do their homework." Yeah Maile Bush it is your fault you bought a home next to an "abandon" well site and were lied to by the DR Horton people. It certainly could not be the greed frackers fault.
