Two Deadly Force Resolutions Passed by Ferguson City Council
FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOX) – The Ferguson City Council passed two resolutions asking for stricter laws when it comes to police using deadly force.
One resolution asks for guidelines into how those cases are investigated, the other asks for all departments to keep track of how often an officer uses deadly force.
Activist Alexis Templeton says those resolutions, along with some new community organizations, show signs that the community is coming together.
“I see organizations within Ferguson starting to pop up that aren’t dividing the protestors and residents, but bringing the protestors and residents together,” she says.
A group called One Ferguson attended the meeting, saying it has recently formed to help support families in the community.
