WVR is Wimberley's only local source of up-to-the-minute breaking news, and is dedicated to being here for Wimberley in emergencies and daily life. In an emergency, we can be counted on when Austin media may have other priorities. And we will be here for the long haul.

Your Community Radio Station Needs Your Help!

WVR has been working step-by-step to build a real community radio station so we can know what's happening in our community, enjoy local entertainment, and above all have a way to reach as many area residents as possible quickly in case of emergency. We've grown into an online station with a number of locally created shows – and more in the works. We've grown fast, and we are proud of what we've been able to accomplish, with great community support. Now we've hit some limits on what we can do with the current group of dedicated volunteers.

We want to keep it fun, not have it turn into a chore. So we hope more of you will consider stepping up to help us, and in so doing help Wimberley as a whole.
