WVR's Directors, Advisors, and Volunteers
Misha Spears, Treasurer. Misha joined the board of directors in April, 2014. Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Misha moved to the Texas Hill Country four years ago. She has lived in Wimberley since 2011.
Misha brings more than 38 years of experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation to the board, along with a genuine appreciation for the effort to bring a community radio station to Wimberley. Nerissa Oden, Secretary, has been a Wimberley resident since 2001. Top 40 disc jockey experience 1985-1986. Radio-TV-Film degree from UT-Austin 1990. Focused on video and audio post production work in films, TV series, commercials and projects through 2002. Developed websites and products to help video and audio editors, video bloggers, and public access to free and affordable video and audio tools. Since 2002 she has freelanced as a web entrepreneur, video and audio production for the web, photographer, graphic designer and author.
She is also a citizen advocate for food sensitivity and food intolerance testing writing monthly articles for Wimberley Valley News & Views and Austin All Natural and is the author of Bread-Free Bread, a cookbook published by Countryman Press in Fall, 2014, of grain- and gluten-free veggie and seed-based recipes .
