The Spark Makerspace is a hands-on learning lab for the UNT community with a mission to ignite the imagination, increase digital fluency, inspire explorative learning, support resume building, encourage personal growth & development of a maker mindset.
As a unique combination of a hands-on learning lab and a library circulating collection, The Spark promotes the cooperative and creative use of technology to support the continual development of digital fluency for UNT students, faculty, and staff. The makerspace provides the UNT community including faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students with access to equipment, software, and trainings.
The Spark is partnering in UNT Career Connect to offer Micro Badges for skills you attain through attending and completing the project/work within our workshops. You can then add the digital badge to your eportfolio to build your personal brand as you market yourself throughout your career.
You can follow what is happening in the makerspace on our Blog and through our Podcast UNT MindSpark
Our maker-techs come from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. You can easily identify them from their grey vests, and they will always be happy to help you.
