There’s no place in the world quite like Denton, and the city’s eclectic dining options are reflective of its personality. Check out some of the Ambassadors’ favorite places to eat around town:
LSA Burger Co.
Known for its burgers, brisket queso, and enormous Last Supper mural depicting Texas music legends as disciples, LSA (short for Lone Star Attitude) has become a popular fixture of the historic Denton Square.

Dix Coney Island
An all-night option for hungry students can be found on the Square in the form of Dix Coney Island, serving up a variety of traditional American diner foods including blueberry pancakes, chili-cheese fries and pastrami cheeseburgers.

Rusty Taco
Of course, it wouldn’t be Texas if we didn’t also have a taco recommendation. Rusty Taco serves up fresh street tacos a couple blocks east of the Square on Hickory.

Spiral Diner
This retro diner provides the quirky atmosphere you can only find in Denton, paired with some delicious pastries. They even offer vegan options to satisfy your animal-loving sweet tooth.

Mr. Chopsticks
Known for its wide variety of Asian cuisine, Mr. Chopsticks has been serving the Denton community for 34 years. The restaurant is located on Scripture Street, and if you don’t have time for a sit-down meal, they also offer to-go options.

Taqueria Monterrey
Taqueria Monterrey offers authentic Mexican cuisine for a low price at a quick pace. What more could you ask for? Perhaps a location closer to campus? Done. They just opened a fifth location down the street from UNT at Rayzor Ranch.
