About Transfer Orientation

In order to assist you with your transition to UNT, all new students are required to attend an orientation session, including transfer students. During orientation, you will have the chance to meet with faculty and staff, connect with current students, learn about university resources, and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes. You will leave orientation understanding our university's spirit and traditions, as well as what to expect as you embark on your college experience.

How to Register

To register for an orientation session, log in at http://my.unt.edu with your EUID and password. Once logged in, click Advising & Orientation, then Register for Orientation. Register early as sessions fill up quickly. For more details, please visit our How To Register page.

Orientation Fee

Summer/Fall 2021

At this time, we are planning to offer both in-person and virtual Transfer Orientation experiences for Summer/Fall 2021. Please note that this could change due to the evolving nature of COVID-19 and its impacts.

Please read the information about pricing carefully to understand the orientation fee and how you will be charged.

All new transfer students will be charged $45 at the time of registering for orientation. Students who participate in the in-person orientation sessions will be charged an additional $18 to cover the cost of meals, materials, and staffing needs for each orientation session. This fee will be added to your student account after you attend orientation. Orientation fees are not refundable.

The fee includes orientation program expenses, UNT t-shirt, participant materials, administrative costs, and year-long orientation activities. 

Payment arrangements for the orientation fee must be made at the time of registering for the session to secure your spot.
