Sheraine Gilliam-Holmes oversees human resources for more than 10,000 faculty and staff at the UNT System’s three campuses, as well as with UNT System Administration. An accomplished human resources leader with more than 15 years of experience, Gilliam-Holmes joined UNT System in January 2021 after serving two years at Austin Peay State University as Executive Director & Chief Human Resources Officer, and previously served in HR leadership positions for The City University of New York (CUNY) System from 2012 to 2018. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a member of the National Board of Directors for the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR).

Donna Asher provides strategic leadership and direction in long-range planning, program development, and implementing effective Human Resources policies and programs across UNT World. She is a veteran in higher education administration, serving at our flagship campus, University of North Texas, for 20 years and at our UNT System headquarters for over nine years. Donna brings a wealth of knowledge spanning various areas such as human resources, fiscal operations, space management and information systems for both academic and administrative areas. Certified as a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) and Society for Human Resources Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), she is also an alumna of UNT, having received her Ph.D. in Information Science, MBA in Human Resources Management and BS in Accounting.
