Can I submit a general application?

We do not have a general application form, however, the first position you apply for will create your applicant profile. Once you have completed your candidate profile, your basic information will be saved

How often are new positions posted?

New positions are posted each business day. Positions will be on the web for a minimum of five business days.

How do I know my submitted application has been received?

You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been completed. Be sure to check your spam folder as emails are often filtered.

What do the application statuses in my profile mean?

  • In Progress – your application is currently under review.
  • Canceled – the position has been canceled without selecting a candidate.
  • Withdrawn – means you have withdrawn your application from consideration for this position. Your application(s) for other positions will still be considered.
  • Not Hired – The department has moved forward with other candidates for this position. Your application is no longer under consideration.
  • Filled – The department has selected a candidate for this position.

Where can I review my submitted resume and other application materials?

You can log in to your profile any time to review the status of your submitted materials. In the navigation fields on the left side of your portal, select Your Applications. Application materials will appear to the right of the screen.

How do I make changes to my application once it has been certified and submitted?

Once you have certified and submitted your application, it is considered a state record, and cannot be edited. Be sure to review your application before submitting. If you have questions, please reach out to hremployment@untsystem.edu.

What happens with the references I provide?

The references you provide will be stored with your application materials. Once you have completed your interview(s) and qualified as a finalist on a position, your references will be contacted.

 What happens after I submit my online application?

Once your online application has been submitted, a representative from the department will review your application and submitted materials. If selected to move forward in the hiring process, you will be contacted by phone or email to proceed to the next steps in the selection process.

How can I request an accommodation for completing an application for employment?

How long does it take to complete an application?

The application for each position type varies. An application can be completed in about 5 to 10 minutes.

Can I save my application before completing it?

Yes, you can save your application and return later to complete it.

Why am I being asked to complete the Disability Status Voluntary Self-Identification Survey?

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requires all Federal contractors to provide the Disability Status Voluntary Self-Identification Survey to all applicants during the application process. Completing this form is voluntary, but we hope you will choose to fill it out.

How can I set up my account to be notified of jobs that are of interest to me?

UNT System provides an interest card as part of our application process. You can review and select your interest card selections by clicking on Applicant Interest Cards on the menu on the left side of your applicant portal. The interest card selections will allow you to receive email notifications in your interest areas.

If I am a current UNT World employee, how do I apply to jobs at UNT World?

Internal employees can access the applicant portal through the my.untsystem portal, then selecting Applicant Tracking and Position Management in the People Admin section. Select Apply for a Job on the top left-hand side of the screen.

I applied for a job that is now re-posted. Do I have to apply again?

You can check your applicant status in the Your Applications section of the portal. Once in Your Applications, review your Completed Applications. If your status is In Progress, your application is still under consideration. If your status is Filled or Canceled, then the posting is new and you will need to apply again.

Once I apply to a position, how long might it take for someone at UNT System to contact me?

The time it takes for a department to review applications and begin the interview process varies. Each search is unique, and therefore requires different timelines.

How do I reset my password?

Visit jobs.untsystem.edu, click on the link Forgot your username or password?

How do I create a profile to apply for jobs?

Visit jobs.untsystem.edu, click on Create an Account or Login with LinkedIn account. If using your LinkedIn account, it will prompt you to verify your LinkedIn profile information.
