Vaccine and Testing

How do I obtain a COVID-19 vaccine?

COVID-19 vaccines are available to help keep you, your family and your Trailblazer community safe. To find out where to get a vaccine, please view the county information below.

  • Dallas County
    • Register online
    • Call Dallas County Health and Human Services to register over the phone for the COVID-19 vaccine. The number for the DCHHS Vaccine Registration Hotline is 469-749-9900. The hotline hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Registration assistance is available in English and Spanish.
    • Fair Park location now open. To receive the vaccine at Fair Park, you must register. The Fair Park site will be used to vaccinate individuals who are on the Dallas County Health and Human Services waiting list. Register at Fair Park here
  • Denton County : Register online
  • Collin County Register online

Where can I get tested for COVID-19? 
If you’re in need of COVID-19 testing, the Dallas County Health Department website has a list of testing locations.

I think I may have COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who does. What should I do? 
Faculty: Contact the faculty/staff hotline 972-638-9165 or covid@untdallas.edu, locate the nearest COVID-19 testing center, quarantine at home, self-monitor and contact your supervisor. If you are on campus and feel sick, contact the faculty/staff hotline so that you may be provided assistance. 

Students: Contact the Health Hotline at 972-638-9164, locate the nearest COVID-19 testing center, quarantine at home, self-monitor and contact the Health Hotline at 972-638-9164 and your instructors with your test results. If you suspect that you are sick and you’re on campus, please contact the Health Hotline at 972-638-9164 so that you can be safely moved to a campus isolation room and provided with assistance.

CARES Act Reporting Requirements

  1. UNTD signed and submitted a Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education and intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
  2. UNTD received $1,518,405.00 from the Department of Education pursuant to the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
  3. UNTD has distributed a total of $1,084,047.37 to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 3/31/21.
  4. UNTD has an estimated total of 4,100 students eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  5. A total of 4,115 students have received Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 3/31/21.
  6. An application was established to capture basic information, including how the student was financially impacted by the closure of the campus due to COVID-19.  Each application was reviewed to ensure eligibility according to the Department of Education guidelines, to confirm the student expressed need, and to evaluate the amount requested.  Eligible students were awarded in the order in which their application was received.  UNTD is ensuring that the application, awarding, and processing allows as many students as possible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants.
  7. All enrolled students were notified of the availability of grants and the application by an email to the full student body that also included other relevant COVID-19 information.  Additional information was communicated through social media, website posts, and regular campus news emails.  The secure application for the Emergency Financial Aid Grants was posted on our institutional COVID-19 resource page for the fall 2020 term.
  8. Quarterly Budget and Expenditure Reporting under CARES Act Sections 18004(a)(1) Institutional Portion, and 18004(a)(2) Minority Serving Institutions.
