NV leads the nation in currently hospitalized patients per million people, followed by SD and AZ, which is close to its own summer peak.

In RI, more than 1 in 8 Latinx people have tested positive for COVID-19, compared to 1 in 31 white people. In SD, 1 in 7 Native Americans has tested positive for COVID-19. Per capita cases in this population have been the highest in SD for the last 3 months.

Indiana and Nevada are now reporting more than 500 currently hospitalized per million people, along with South Dakota. For reference, the highest value of hospitalizations per million people we've seen was 968 in New York back in April.
