Program Leader Vacancies

The Animal Programs listed below are searching for dedicated members of the AZA community.  Individuals interested in applying for one of the vacant Program Leader positions should review the position responsibilities and complete the required application materials, found in the Animal Program Handbooks.  Application materials should be submitted to the Chair of the appropriate Taxon Advisory Group (TAG) or the AZA Conservation, Management, & Welfare Sciences Department. Contact information for TAG Chairs are also available on each TAGs' Program page in the Animal Program Database, and also in the Animal Program Resources. Please note that unless a specific due date is indicated, applications are accepted at any time.

  1. Two (2) letters of recommendation from AZA members.
  2. One (1) letter of support from a current Program Leader, Studbook Keeper, or member of TAG leadership with whom the candidate has discussed this opportunity and will be able to use as a mentor moving forward.
  3. A statement of why the candidate wishes to contribute to AZA as a leader for this species.
