USDA is committed to creating a culture of consistent, efficient service to our customers while easing regulatory burdens to make it easier to invest, produce, and build in rural America in a way that creates jobs and economic prosperity while ensuring the safety of our food supply, and protecting and safeguarding our land, water, and other natural resources for future generations.
President Trump's Executive Order 13777—Enforcing the Regulatory Reform Agenda establishes federal policy to alleviate unnecessary regulatory burdens on the American people and directs federal agencies to establish a Regulatory Reform Task Force. In addition, Executive Order 13771—Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs directs agencies to identify and eliminate at least two prior regulations for every new regulation issued.
USDA's Regulatory Reform Task Force (PDF, 129 KB) will identify reforms and opportunities for the department for the dual purpose of easing the regulatory burden on the American people and improving service delivery to our customers.
