  • Country-Specific Information:
    • Aruba has had 5,049 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within its borders.
  • Entry and Exit Requirements:
    • Flights to and from the United States resumed on July 10, 2020
    • A negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival is required for entry
      • Travelers are required to upload their negative COVID-19 PCR test results to their online ED card (see above) prior travel (https://www.aruba.com/us/traveler-health-requirements)
      • Travelers who do not provide a negative COVID-19 PCR prior to arrival must test upon arrival at the airport and isolate in their hotel until they receive a negative test result
    • The U.S. Consulate General in Curacao is not able to answer questions about specific details of the above entry requirements.  For questions about COVID-19 tests, testing timeframes, mandatory health insurance, or the online ED card, please write directly to the Aruban authorities at support@aruba.com.
    • Aruba has provided a helpful instructional video for travelers wishing to visit Aruba (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=623982394991337).
    • There are currently no restrictions on traveling from Aruba to the United States.  The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) maintains a list of countries/regions that are under current COVID-19 travel restrictions (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/from-other-countries.html).  Note that for the context of these restrictions, Aruba is NOT considered part of the Schengen Area.
    • The CDC suggests that travelers going to United States from Aruba also be tested 1-3 days before travel.  This is a recommendation and not a requirement (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/covid-4/coronavirus-aruba).
    • Certain U.S. states have announced they will require certain travelers to quarantine upon arrival. Please check with your destination state to understand what quarantine restrictions may apply.
  • Movement Restrictions: 
    • Effective August 26, 2020, a curfew is in effect from 12:00 midnight to 5:00am for beach areas.
    • Aruba lifted its “shelter-in-place” order on May 18, 2020, but social distancing protocols remain in effect when in public.
  • Quarantine Information:
    • Travelers arriving to Aruba from the United States who provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test are not required to quarantine.
    • Travelers arriving to Aruba from the United States who test positive for COVID-19 are required to stay in mandatory isolation (expenses covered by the mandatory COVID-19 health insurance) until the traveler tests negative.  This can cause significant disruptions to travel plans and may result in not being able to return to the United States on the traveler’s scheduled return flight.

  • Transportation Options:

    • Bonaire has had 154 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within its borders.
  • Entry and Exit Requirements:
    • Travelers are allowed to enter Bonaire after transiting through Curacao and complying with Curacao’s entry requirements.
    • A negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival is required for entry.
    • Bonaire has not yet announced when direct flights to and from the United States will resume, but most U.S. airlines have cancelled flights until at least January 2021.
    • The final commercial flight scheduled from Bonaire to the United States of America departed on Saturday, March 28.  Please work with your airline carrier to learn more about when service may resume again.
    • There are currently no restrictions on traveling from Bonaire to the United States.  The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) maintains a list of countries/regions that are under current COVID-19 travel restrictions (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/from-other-countries.html).  Note that for the context of these restrictions, Bonaire is NOT considered part of the Schengen Area

  • Quarantine Information:
    • Travelers arriving to Bonaire who have been physically present in a high-risk country (including parts of the United States) are required to quarantine for 14 days in a quarantine facility at the traveler’s expense.
  •  COVID-19 Testing:

    • On demand COVID-19 testing is not available.  Testing is provided at no cost for those in isolation/quarantine who entered Bonaire with special permission.
  • Transportation Options:
    • Flights to and from Curacao resumed again on October 26, 2020
    • Flights to and from Europe resumed on July 1, 2020

    • Travelers arriving to Curacao from CT, FL, NJ, and NY (and who have been physically present in those states for the 14-days prior to boarding the flight) who provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test are not required to quarantine.
    • Travelers arriving to Curacao from the United States who test positive for COVID-19 are required to stay in mandatory isolation (expenses covered by the traveler) until the traveler tests negative.  This can cause significant disruptions to travel plans and may result in not being able to return to the United States on the traveler’s scheduled return flight.

  • Entry and Exit Requirements:
    • Travelers who have been physically present in the United States within the past 14 days are not allowed to enter Saba, except for legal residents of Saba, essential workers, medical travelers, and medical students.
      • Travelers must request specific permission from the Island Governor by writing to info@Sabagov.nl in addition to providing a negative COVID-19 PCR test result and agreeing to a mandatory quarantine in a quarantine facility.
    • Saba has not yet announced when general travelers from the United States will be permitted, but the Saba government estimates it should not be expected before January 2021.
    • The U.S. Consulate General in Curacao is not able to answer questions about specific details of the above entry requirements.  For questions about COVID-19 tests, testing timeframes, or specific permission please write directly to the Saba authorities at info@Sabagov.nl.

    • There are currently no transportation options between Sint Eustatius and the United States.
  • Consular Operations:
    • The United States Consulate General in Curacao is open for all routine U.S. citizen services.  However, with flights between Sint Eustatius and Curacao suspended, it is not possible to travel to Curacao for services requiring an in-person interview.
    • The United States Consulate General in Curacao is open for some limited visa services (including interviews for student and some petition-based visas).  However, with flights between Sint Eustatius and Curacao suspended, it is not possible to travel to Curacao for services requiring an in-person interview.
