Guidance by Source and Subject
The CEQ NEPA regulations (40 CFR 1506.7) state that the Council may provide further guidance concerning NEPA and its procedures consistent with Executive Order 13807, Establishing Discipline and Accountability in the Environmental Review and Permitting Process for Infrastructure Projects (August 5, 2017), Executive Order 13891, Promoting the Rule of Law Through Improved Agency Guidance Documents (October 9, 2019), and any other applicable Executive orders. To the extent that Council guidance issued prior to September 14, 2020, is in conflict with the updated regulations, the provisions of the updated regulations apply.
