Since the spring 2020 certification cycle was suspended due to COVID-19, all certificates for renewal that were set to expire on June 30, 2020, were extended until the end of the fall cycle, December 31, 2020. Any renewal applications we received in the spring were automatically included in the fall 2020 cycle. In order to maintain the two-year period for those originally on the spring cycle, their renewals (issued in the fall 2020 cycle) will expire June 30, 2022.

Chemist Certification Program

TTB offers the Chemist Certification Program as a service to the alcohol beverage industry to facilitate the export of beverage alcohol to foreign markets. Chemists in the private industry are certified by TTB to analyze alcohol beverages for the analytes listed in TTB Procedure 2018-2. Many countries that require testing as a condition of entry accept a report of analysis of alcohol beverages from a TTB-certified chemist.

We update the lists of certified chemists twice a year (spring and fall); the current lists are below.
