Summary

On January 28, 2014, Premier Paving Inc. was sentenced in U.S. District Court, Denver, Colorado, and ordered to forfeit $184,916 to the Federal Highway Trust Fund.

Our investigation disclosed that Premier Paving employed illegal aliens on a $2.3 million U.S. Department of Transportation funded highway project. These employees were previously identified by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as not authorized to work in the United States.

We conducted this investigation jointly with ICE, assisted by FHWA and Colorado Department of Transportation.
