Summary

After our June 2009 report to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding inaccuracies in its national system for tracking controller failures, the August 2009 House Committee on Appropriations Report directed us to provide an update on FAA's progress in developing procedures to obtain accurate data.  Accordingly, our audit objective is to evaluate FAA's actions taken to improve its system for tracking the training progress of newly hired controllers.
