Scientists at EMERSC conduct research and collect data on nonfuel mineral resources. Our scientific investigations include the evaluation of mineral deposits, assessment of quantities and qualities of mineral resources, and delineation of the environmental effects of extracting minerals. Staff manage databases with information on critical elements in soils and the locations of mineral deposits.
