Overview
Fewer companies now report on the EIA-63B survey because of consolidation and changes to strategic planning of companies in the U.S. solar photovoltaic (PV) industry. As a result of fewer survey respondents, the data tables in the 2015 report are less detailed than in past reports to protect the confidentiality of the individual company-level data. Data can no longer be published for the specific types of PV cells and modules, or by region.
Table changes:
- Table 1. Unchanged.
- Table 2. Unchanged.
- Table 3. Unchanged.
- Table 4. Unchanged.
- Table 5. Not published for 2015.
- Table 6. U.S. Shipments and Sales to U.S. OEM for resale have been consolidated. Individual data for crystalline silicon, thin film, and concentrator types of modules cannot be published. The total for all types of PV modules is shown.
- Table 7. Information in the Table 7 covering imports has been consolidated into eight categories: Canada, Mexico, China, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and All others. Individual data for crystalline silicon, thin film, and concentrator types of modules cannot be published. The total for all types of PV modules is shown.
- Table 8. Exports have been consolidated to the continent level, rather than country level, except for exports to Canada and Mexico. Individual data for crystalline silicon, thin film, and concentrator types of modules cannot be published. The total for all types of PV modules is shown.
- Table 9. Individual data for crystalline silicon, thin film, and concentrator types of modules cannot be published. The total for all types of PV modules is shown.
