Summary

We are initiating an audit of FHWA's oversight of structurally deficient bridges in the National Highway System to evaluate whether (1) these bridges have been inspected in accordance with national bridge inspection standards and (2) FHWA's oversight is effective to address deficiencies with the bridges.
