Exhibition Tour of Shall Not Be Denied: Women Fight for the Vote

This tour explores the changing nature of the suffrage movement over its 70-year history, from conventions to a state-by-state strategy to confrontational tactics and a federal amendment.

Times

Public tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays at 1 pm starting June 21st. Please confirm tour times on the public calendar of events in advance of your visit, or at the Library’s information desks on the day of your visit. All tours start at the exhibition entrance. Group tours are available by request for groups of 10 or more. Please use the group tour request form.

Location

The Thomas Jefferson Building is located on First Street SE, between Independence Avenue and East Capitol Street. Public tours begin at the entrance to the exhibition on the second floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building.

Accessibility

The Library buildings are fully accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are provided at the Jefferson Building ground floor information desk.
