COVID-19 Birth Data and Resources

NCHS is responding to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) with new resources to help monitor COVID-19 infection during pregnancy and changes in health services utilization and maternal and infant outcomes.

Below please find information on characteristics of women with COVID-19 at any time during pregnancy, and their newborns for a limited number of states, monthly changes in selected national health services utilization and maternal and infant outcome measures among all births based on provisional 2020 birth data compared with the same month in 2018 and 2019, and guidance for states that are considering collecting maternal COVID-19 on the birth certificate.
