Trade Negotiations
FAS partners with other U.S. government agencies and the private sector in a coordinated effort to negotiate trade agreements, establish transparent and science-based trading standards, and eliminate trade barriers. FAS also receives and responds to World Trade Organization (WTO) notifications from foreign countries on sanitary, phytosanitary and technical measures that affect agricultural trade.
