Compensation costs up 0.5% Jun 2020 to Sep 2020 and up 2.4% over the year ending Sep 202010/30/2020
Compensation costs rose 0.5 percent for civilian workers, seasonally adjusted, from June 2020 to September 2020. Over the year, compensation rose 2.4 percent, with wages and salaries rising 2.5 percent and benefit costs increasing 2.3 percent.
State and local government compensation costs average $52.94 per hour worked in Sep 202012/17/2020
Wage and salary costs for state and local government workers averaged $32.74 per hour worked and benefit costs averaged $20.20 in September 2020. Health insurance costs were $6.06 per hour, accounting for 11.4 percent of total compensation costs.
