Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review

DOPSR is responsible for managing the Department of Defense security review program, reviewing written materials both for public and controlled release.

Directives Division

The Directives Division administers and operates the Department of Defense Issuances Program, the DoD Information Collections Program, DOD Forms Management Program, GAO Affairs, and the DoD Plain Language Program.

Correspondence Management Division

The Correspondence Management Division administers the correspondence management policies and processes designed to capture and preserve unclassified and classified documents for the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense.

Freedom of Information Division

The Office of the Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff (OSD/JS) FOIA Requester Service Center supports all actions related to Freedom of Information requests submitted by the public for access to records under the control of the Offices of the Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff, to include specific OSD components.

Records and Declassification Division

The Records and Declassification Division oversees the implementation, operation and sustainment of the OSD Records & Information Management Program, OSD Declassification Programs, and OSD Historical Research Program in support of the Secretary of Defense and DoD. The Records and Declassification Division oversees the Privacy Program for the WHS Directorates.

Audit Management Division

The Audit Management Division advises DoD Component Liaisons and staff regarding GAO engagements and DoD OIG recommendation follow-up.  The facilitate the resolution of issues between DoD Components and the GAO or DoD OIG.  AMD facilitates timely implementation of the Department's actions to address open GAO and DoD OIG recommendations.  They improved the management and quality of DoD's responses to the GAO, DoD OIG, and Congress regarding GAO engagements and DoD OIG recommendation follow-up.

Enterprise Business Division

The Enterprise Business Division Provides superior customer service to ESD, the WHS Immediate Office staff, and select WHS-serviced Components in a variety of administrative areas including human resources, contracting, performance management, information technology, CATMS, time & attendance, training, travel, parking, and government purchase card.  WHS-service components include the White House Military Office, The National Security Council, White House Photo Office, the Defense Digital Services, and others.  Similar services are also provided to various Boards, Commission, and Task Forces.
