Tribal Health Success Stories

The Association of American Indian Physicians partnered with tribal communities, CDC’s Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS), and CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion to collect evidence-based and culturally appropriate intervention success stories.

CSTLTS disseminates stories about the implementation of public health practices in the field. These stories, titled Public Health Practice Stories from the Field, span a broad range of public health, performance management, and quality improvement topics. Stories are submitted by health departments, tribes, public health organizations, and other CDC partners. The stories featured below highlight successful public health practice in American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
