A WORLD FREE OF TB
Tuberculosis (TB) is an airborne infectious disease that is preventable and curable. WHO is working to dramatically reduce the burden of TB, and halve TB deaths and prevalence by 2015, through its Stop TB Strategy and supporting the Global Plan to Stop TB.
62nd World Health Assembly adopts resolution on multidrug-resistant and extensively drug-resistant TB (M/XDR-TB)
A series of actions to combat drug-resistant tuberculosis has been approved by the World Health Assembly through a resolution targeted at prevention and control of M/XDR-TB.
