Joint Outreach Task Group Video Series

The purpose of this video series is to provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the federal government offices and entities involved in the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOIOCPA) and the Former Worker Medical Screening Program (FWP), two programs that serve eligible workers from the Department of Energy (DOE). In the interest of combining resources, since both the EEOICPA and FWP serve a similar population of workers, the federal entities have partnered to hold local outreach meetings in and around active or closed DOE sites. These meetings have been very successful, but we realize not everyone can make it to a meeting, so we have developed a video series to help reach out to a wider population.

First and foremost this video series is a reflection of our commitment to the DOE workforce and their families; the men and women who have sacrificed so much for the national security of this country. We believe that this video reflects the value of teamwork between our three government agencies and we make every effort to ensure that our agencies administer these programs with clarity and compassion, and in a fair and expedient manner.

We encourage viewers to watch the introduction given by senior management from each of the Federal Agencies responsible for carrying-out duties for EEOICPA and FWP. The introduction is followed by 6 short video segments displayed below, in which the different offices provide information about the EEOICPA and the FWP and explain the different roles and responsibilities of each office. We hope that you find this video series easy to understand and informative. If you have friends or colleagues who may be able to benefit from this information, please refer them to this video series or our websites.
