Summary

The EPA Mid-Atlantic Region proposes to reissue the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, pursuant to Section 402 of the Clean Water Act, to the Department of the Army for the Washington Aqueduct.  The draft permit allows the discharge of treated and untreated drinking water at the following outfalls:

Outfall No. 002A located at N 38º 55’ 57” latitude, W 77º 07’ 03” longitude to Potomac River

Outfall No. 002Q located at N 38° 56’ 04.38” latitude, W 77° 06’ 56.13” longitude to Potomac River

Outfall No. 003 located at N 38º 54’ 41.5” latitude, W 77º 05’ 57” longitude to Potomac River

Outfall No. 004 located at N 38º 54’ 27.5” latitude, W 77º 05’ 36” longitude to Potomac River

Outfall No. 006 located at N 38º 55’ 14” latitude, W 77º 06’ 00” longitude to Potomac River

Outfall No. 007 located at N 38º 54’ 58” latitude, W 77º 03’ 32” longitude to Rock Creek

Outfall No. 008 located at N 38º 56’ 35” latitude, W 77º 05’ 20” longitude to Mill Creek

Outfall No. 009 located at N 38º 57’ 08” latitude, W 77º 04’ 40” longitude to Mill Creek
