This week’s Friday Focus features the students at Mirror Lake Elementary School as they celebrate the Chinese New Year with traditional Chinese performances, including a dragon dance and parade; the students also plant daffodil bulbs as part a of worldwide memorial to children killed in the Holocaust. South Florida's premier Television Academic Quiz Show Returns

School Duel returns this week as Plantation High plays Monarch High in an exciting first round game. School Duel is produced by BCPS BECON-TV, and is South Florida's premier Television Academic Quiz Show. The show features 20 high school teams from Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties competing in a tournament to be this year's School Duel champion. School Choice Application Window Deadline is February 8, 2017

Broward County Public Schools application window for School Choice for the 2017/18 school year is open now through February 8, 2017.
