About Our Program

EIS is CDC’s globally-recognized fellowship program and long-standing model of worldwide public health in action. EIS has trained over 3,800 ready-responders who have served a gamut of public health issues since the program’s inception in 1951. EIS maintains its core focus on evidence-based decision-making while adapting to the evolving nature of public health. EIS will continue shaping future generations of public health leaders for years to come.
