The Bioenergy Technologies Office partners with the National Biomass State and Regional Partnerships' five regional organizations that provide leadership in their regions with regard to policies and technical issues in order to advance the use of biomass. This page lists contacts from the partner organizations, and it provides information on some state-level programs.
The regional partnership programs include:
- Great Lakes Regional Biomass Energy Program
- Northeast Regional Biomass Energy Program
- Pacific Regional Bioenergy Partnership
- Southern States Energy Board
- Western Governors Association.
Some state-level programs include:
State Technologies Advancement Collaborative Program
This collaboration of the National Association of State Energy Officials, the Association of State Energy Research and Technology Transfer Institutions, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) provides funding for state energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
State Energy Program
This collaboration of DOE and the states provides joint funding for state formula grant projects and local energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
State Incentives and Resources Search
A DOE Web page designed by the Advanced Manufacturing Office (formerly the Industrial Technologies Program) includes state energy information for biomass, other renewable energy, and fossil energy.
State Fact Sheets
The U.S. Department of Energy provides joint funding to university, national laboratory, and industrial partners at the state level to research, develop, and demonstrate sustainable bio-based fuels and products. Learn how these states are expanding promising bioenergy research into commercial production on the State Fact Sheets Web page.
