- Annals of Congress
- Part of the Library of Congress's A Century of Lawmaking project, the Annals cover the First Congress through the first session of the Eighteenth Congress, from 1789 to 1824.
- Congressional Hearings on the Web
- Hearings from the 99th Congress (1985-1986) to the present are available through the U.S. Government Printing Office web site.
- Congressional Record
- The Congressional Record publishes accounts of the debates, proceedings, and activities of the U.S. Congress. Available on the Thomas web site from the 101st Congress (1989-1990) until the present.
- Journal of the U.S. Senate
- The Journal begins with the opening session of the Senate, in accordance with Article I, section 5 of the Constitution. This collection from the Library of Congress offers the Journal from 1789-1875.
- Journal of the U.S. House of Representatives
- Like the Senate, the House has kept a record of its proceedings since the first meeting. This site from the Library of Congress covers the first forty-three Congresses, 1789-1875.
